Abstract : The courses of Islamic Education at the secondary stage contain several knowledge, Skills and attitudes that should be acquired by the student in the course of her study to these subjects throughout the study year, a matter which may result in change in the student’s performance due to her acquisition of such knowledge, skills and attitudes. And whereas the evaluation is the key indicator in the educational process through which the progress in the student’s performance may be measured and the points of strength and weakness are identified and diagnosed. The teacher should apply the qualitative evaluation method since it includes diverse practices which enable to understand the student’s character and all her personal attitudes in detail and qualitative manner. By applying this method, the student’s weakness points may be identified, diagnosed and rectified. To make use of Qualitative Evaluation Styles in achieving this objective, the subject study was conducted in order to determine the correlation between the use of the Qualitative Evaluation Styles by Islamic Education Teachers and the Level of Performance of their students in Islamic Education Courses at the Secondary Stage in Jeddah region. This study tackled the concept of Qualitative Evaluation in teaching the Islamic Education , its importance, principles and methods of evaluation the knowledge, emotional , skill and social disciplines, then study of the concept of performance, fields, and its degree in teaching Islamic education. Then the student has presented the past studies conducted in this field. The researcher has applied the correlated descriptive method in the study. To achieve the study objectives of study and to answer the questions raised in this respect. The researcher has prepared two tools and applied in the field side: Teacher’s Note Card and Students’ Performance Measurement applied by the teacher to evaluate her students. Their consistency and correctness were verified and confirmed. The study was applied to 40 teachers who teach the subject of Islamic Education for the secondary school students in Jeddah and that they were chosen randomly, covering all grade students for each student reaching 837. The researcher has applied the descriptive statistical methods for analysis (arithmetic average, Alpha Crewnpagh coefficient, coincidence coefficient equation, Person correlation coefficient, partial correlation coefficient). The study concluded certain conclusions mainly: 1- There is no statistical function between Islamic Education Teacher’s application to the qualitative evaluation methods and student’s performance level in the Islamic Education Courses in the Secondary School Stages in Jeddah. 2- There is no significant difference between the Islamic Education Teacher’s application to the qualitative evaluation methods and student’s performance level in the Islamic Education Courses in the Secondary Stages due to study variables: Teacher qualification, class periods quotas, grade, subject and number of students in the class. The most important recommendations are that the Islamic Education Teachers in the secondary stage should learn and apply the qualitative evaluations methods, hold training courses for the Islamic education teachers on the use of the qualitative evaluation methods, and it is necessary also to avail guide manual for the qualitative evaluation in teaching Islamic Education.
