Abstract : The subject of this paper examines the study of the education history in Ta'if region during the reign of king Abdualziz Era and aims to shedding light upon the education history in that region which is located in the west side of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Such region is characterized by its being the eastern gate of Mecca, headquarter of Political Military Leaderships in many eras, especially in the Saudi era. Education in Ta'if is dated back to medival historical periods in Hijaz region, especially when Abdullah Bin Al Abbas "Scholar of the Muslim nation" resided in Ta'if and built his mosque, which remained a science lighthouse over fourteen centuries, in it.When Ta'if was united by King Abdul Aziz, education then was based upon "Katateeb" which received a considerable care from King Abdul Aziz who provided them with financial and moral support. So, numbers of Katateeb increased within Ta'if town and many of them were opened in villages and the fewly-populated areas of Ta'if where such Katateeb became an important source of education in that region. Although systematic education was almost absent in Ta'if region, King Abdul Aziz bestowed a special importance upon that kind of education. He established the first systematic school after entering Ta'if town. Numbers of primary schools increased over a short period reaching twenty eight primary schools, by the end of King Abdul Aziz era, both inside and outside Ta'if town.As for secondary education, it also had been given a huge care, especially with the need of country for qualified individuals within the administrative system. Thus, secondary schools, which made an effective contribution to graduation of many students who had a great role in managing the country, were opened.Military Schools, which played a considerable role in graduation of many soldiers and officers who had an important role in placing the initial basis for constructing the Saudi army and establishing the security systems that had an impact on security stability within the kingdom and securing it against external risks, were established. The country's care wasn't limited, that it reached schools teaching foreign languages. Such care has developed to include the various educational aids which aim at prompting the educational process in Ta'if. There has been care about curriculum, educational systems, bringing about many teachers and experts who participated in graduation of many educational competent and experienced persons that, in turn, participated in an active manner in administratively constructing the country. Thus, education in Ta'if achieved the planned goal by King Abdul Aziz.
