Abstract : All praise is due to Allah. And may peace and blessing be upon Prophet Muhammed and upon whoever follows his steps and guidance till the day of judgment. This is a research entitled as “Ibn Taymiah’s concept of Taqseem (Limitation) with regard to Allah’s Attributes and his utilization of it in both: refute and rebuttal”. The goal of this research is studying Taqseem as one of most powerful ways of refutation as well as determining its characteristics and conditions, by taking examples from Ibn Taymiah’s books; specifically, from the chapters dedicated for dealing with Allah’s Attributes. During this research I honestly followed the scientific method and I have arranged the topics as follows: An Introduction where I described the research plan, its importance and the way I dealt with the issue. Also I included a foreface where I briefly shed light on Ibn Taymiah’s biography. The First Chapter included the Terminological and the practical definitions of Subr (Testing) and Taqseem with regard to the people of: Kalam, Jurisprudent, Philosophy and search & debate. I also mentioned examples of Taqseem’s implication from Quran as well as from the speech of the Muslim scholars and the people of Kalam. For the Second Chapter, it’s fully dedicated for the usage of Taqseem regarding intellectuality & Testimony. However, the Third Chapter discussed the concept of Taqseem in the abbreviated expressions such as Aljeha (Direction), Aljawhar, (Independent Entity) Alaradh (Dependent Entity) and some other expressions Concerning the Fourth Chapter, showed the way Taqseem may be used to refute the arguments of the deviants regarding the issue and it included the argument of Taqseem in Allah's Attributes issues , also, the conclusion and the research outcomes & recommendations.
