Abstract : This study has tackled the artistic structure in the poetry of Zuhair Ibn Abi Solma Al-Mozni where it has started with a brief preface about Zuhair, his environment, position, poetic talent and the great effect he has had on pre-Islamic poem in terms of structure and wording in such a way that he has become the head of artistry school in his age. Then, it has shifted to the conception of the artistic structure for ancient critics where he has recorded all their views concerning the structure of a poem according to a chronological sequence to illustrate the development that has come over this definition. Later, it was followed by the views and remarks of narrators to show their understanding and approach in the structure and unity of a poem as a preparation for studying the fundamentals of pre-Islamic poem structure in terms of the opening verse of this poem, introduction and conclusion. Finally, I have reviewed an applied study of Zuhair poetry. This study has also dealt with Zuhair poems of multi-topics. As for other poems that dealt with a single topic as well as these stanzas that were reported in his collection of poems, I have referred to them out of distinction between texts and highlight these motives as well as their influence upon the formation of the structure of his poetic texts that were involved in his collection of poems in a statistical manner. Then, this study has tackled abstract and verbal significance within the principles of poem structure for Zuhair starting with the introduction as well as these important suggestive factors that have been included such as the woman, time and place, the poetic purpose, the reasons for some common purposes rather than others, the artistic aspects of his best selection of his artistic portraits, what adds to the coherence and consistency in his poems. Finally, it showed the significance of conclusion in his poetry, its corresponding aspects to the vision and criteria of critics, the involved sayings and proverbs, praise and dispraise that corresponds to the purpose of poem as well as these aspects that don't correspond to it.Then, this study has tackled the artistic structure of imagery in his poems illustrating the artistic capability of Zuhair of aesthetic formation of imagery, displaying the sources of Zuhair imagery and their rhetorical value. It has also tackled types of his imagery such as the total image of a hero, the image of a woman, the image of war, the image of the praised person, the partial image that is independent in a single poetic verse in such a way that it becomes a separate entity in itself, narrative images that are considered one on the most prominent, constant, artistic phenomena in his poetry, the ability of Zuhair to employ motion images, the images of senses and sounds, mixing colours and defining the levels of organic unity in his poetry after a brief introduction about the conception of unity as well as the contradictory views of critics in achieving the organic unity in pre-Islamic poetry. This has been achieved within the poetry of Zuhair through his narrative poems, the impact of language and its role in achieving the organic unity including inversion, deferment, condition, interrogation as well as other aspects that achieve linguistic coherence including conjunctions and thus his poems and stanzas that have a single topic were dominated by a single sensation and emotion. This study has concluded several important results as follows:The artistic structure in Zuhair poetry has been the result of the artistic efforts in his age, most of his poems were characterized by their length, artistic competence in verse writing. His poetry has revealed a competent poet, clever writer who has utilized his language and tools for the artistic expression, the aesthetic structure along with the harmony between word and meaning, integrity of structure. In this way, he has been a unique pioneer of artistic school that has been well-known for revision, correction, artistry and contemplation.
