Abstract : The study definition of the tools available research on the internet and features and characteristics of each tool and the difference between evidence directories web search engines and search engines of search engines and multiple meta search engines, and features of the research evidence and the characteristics and modus operandi, and the components search engines on the Internet and programs the foundation on which they depend and how they work, types, and the concept of multiple engines and features and benefits of research and study relied on a descriptive analytical method to determine the trends of faculty members about the use of such research tools, and to highlight the more tools that are used and how to use them, and the reasons for use and justification not to deal with the tools specific research, and the extent of their familiarity with the various types of research tools available on the Internet, and the extent of satisfaction with the results retrieved through it. The study showed the small number of faculty members who use the research evidence, it is clear from the field study that 4.17% of the total faculty members are using the Open Directory Open directory, followed by manual tissue by 2.50 %, then the directory where the rate of 1.67% of the total faculty at the University of King Abdul Aziz, the study also twice the rate of using multiple search engines, where the percentage of use to 14.17% of the total faculty members.
